R. Earl Muir is a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, where he lives in a downtown loft with his wife, Pam and his writing partner, Harvey the Downtown Doxie (check out his FB Page).

His past experience as Police Officer and Detective provide an insight to the inner workings of solving crime as presented in his first novel, Magic City Murder Déjà Vu and the follow-up novel, BOMBINGHAM: Day of Reckoning (June 2021), the second in the Lt. Fay Findlay series.

His passion for his city and its history are evident as he weaves stories of crime and police work with historical references and backdrops taking the reader on a tour of the city both past and present.
